
Grace L. Shoup, 78, died September 1, 2002 at the home of her son after an extended illness. She was born on July 31, 1924 in Shelby to Earl E. and Rachel M. Mathews Moore, both deceased. Mrs. Shoup graduated in 1942 from Shelby High School. She married Dale Shoup on September 15, 1942 and was a homemaker all her life. She was a member of St. Mary of Snows Catholic Church and a member of the Rosary Alter Society.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Duwayne E. and Patricia Hart Shoup and John A. and Linda Williams Shoup both of Mansfield; ten Grandchildren; seventeen Great-Grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law Robert and Evelyn Moore of Mansfield and David and JoAnn Moore of Mesa, Arizona; one sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Bob Bamberger of Williston, Florida; one brother-in-law Clyde Mowry of Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Shoup; two sisters Helen Sponseller and Phylis Mowry and one Great-granddaughter.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 10:00 a.m. conducted by her pastor Father Keith McCormack. Burial will be in Windsor Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Mary of the Snows Catholic Church on Ashland Road or the North Central Ohio Hospice.
