Grace E. Wetzel, 73, of Ontario, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born April 16, 1933 in Richland County, she was the daughter of Alvin C. and Pearl E. Burdett Reed. She had formerly worked at SS Kressege and as a school nurse for Ontario. Mrs. Wetzel was a life member of the Amvets Post #26 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin R. 'Bud' Wetzel of Ontario; daughter, Gaylee Wetzel of Bellville; son, Charles E. Wetzel of Fredericktown; granddaughter and her husband, Dmara and Robert Guiler; great grandson, Robert Guiler, Jr.; two brothers and sister-in-law, Daniel and Mary Reed, and David Reed, all of Mansfield; and sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Roger McNamee of Johnsville. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Thelma Hooper.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home conducted by Rev. David Sipes. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
