
Harold Jaye Fox, age 86, of Mansfield, died Saturday December 18, 2004 at Woodlawn Health Care and Rehabilitation. Born May 4, 1918 in Mansfield, he was the son of Frank A. and Vera Browneller Fox. He graduated from Mansfield Senior High School. Harold served 5 years in the United States Army with the 112th Quartermaster Regiment, 1st Battalion. He graduated from Officer Candidate School and then served with the 457th Amphibian Truck Co. as a 1st Lieutenant. Harold was employed at Tappan Co. for 15 years and Mansfield Screw Machine Products Co. as a comptroller for 28 years, retiring in 1983. He was a long-standing member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as treasurer for 15 years, a member of the Masonic Lodge, Frank H. Marquis Lodge #690, and the Sons of Herman.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Ann and Forrest Benner of Mansfield; one granddaughter and her husband, Christy and John Farrell of Morrisville, North Carolina; one grandson and his wife, Chad and Cyndi Stigall of Mansfield; three great grandchildren, Alex Farrell, and Parker and Cooper Stigall; one step son and his wife, John R. and Cassie Enderle of Mansfield; one step daughter and her husband, Joyce and Tovio Koehler; and three step granddaughters, Allison, Laura, and Bridget Enderle. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Etta Long Fox; and his second wife, Alice Enderle Fox.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday December 21, 2004 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors with Rev. Dr. Pentti Maki officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Military graveside services will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
