

Harry E. Myers, Sr., age 69, of Ashland, passed away Friday afternoon, March 15, 2013 in Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born February 5, 1944 in Millersburg, Ohio to the late Floyd F. and Blanche L. (Ayers) Myers.
Harry graduated from Loudonville High School in 1964 and retired from F. E. Myers after 37 years of service. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Harry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed his family dinners together. A man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, he was very easy-going and one of his favorite activities was fishing with his grandson.
He is survived by his wife Blanche Stull Myers; three children, Brenda (Terry) Hicks of Mansfield, Harry (Karen) Myers, Jr. of Nankin, Michael Myers and his girlfriend, Jennifer of Ashland; two special grandchildren, Kenneth Hicks and Mackinzie Myers, along with Ivan; six grandchildren, Joshua, Dustin, Shell-be, Seth, Chris and Ashley; four great-grandchildren, Cayden, Trent, Joseph and Sophia; one brother, George Myers of Mansfield; a sister, Betty Lou Davies of Reno, OH; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Glenn and Donald Myers and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Harold and Ruby Stull.
Friends and family may visit from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue. Per Harry’s wishes, there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Harry’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, American Kidney Association or American Diabetes Association.
