Harvey Manness, Sr.

Harvey D. Maness, Sr., 75, of 6245 Mt. Hope Road, Grass Lake, Michigan, died Sunday morning, May 26, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Maness was born October 28, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan. He retired from Holtzman & Silverman Builders and was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Mr. Maness was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Buhagiar Maness; a son and daughter-in-law, Havey & Deena Maness of Ontario; a daughter and son-in-law, Launa & Gerry Steinhauer of Stockbridge, Michigan; and five grandchildren, Harvey D., Justin, Leah, Katherine and Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey D. & Thelma Maness Barnes.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Tuesday, May 29, 2002 from 6-8 p.m. Additional calling hours will be held Thursday, May 30, 2002 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Sherwood Funeral Home in Grass Lake, Michigan. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 31, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sherwood Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Allen Miracle. Burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery in Grass Lake, Michigan.
