
Heinz R. Grosch, 84, Mansfield, died Monday evening, August 29, 2005 at his home after a brief illness. Born October 29, 1920 in Essen, Germany, he was the son of Heinrich R. and Antoniette Wolter Grosch. He lived in Mansfield since 1952, and retired from Cole Tool and Die after 34 years of service. Mr. Grosch was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed 'growing' roses, traveling, bird watching, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anna M. Schmidt Grosch of Mansfield, one daughter, Ute Barbara Yockey of Finksburg, Maryland; one son and daughter-in-law, Friedhelm H. 'Fred' and Gilberta 'Gayle' Grosch of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Anita and Timothy Pearce, Debra and James Curtis, John D. III and Dana Yockey, Stacy and Eric Pope, Mindy and Trevor Thompson, and Aaron Grosch; seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, John David Yockey, Jr.; two sisters, Doris Wolters, and Hilde Grosch; and one brother, Siegfried Grosch.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2005 at the funeral home with Rev. Carl W. Cunfer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice.
