
Helen O. Stutz Ferguson, 101, of Mansfield, died Friday, December 2, 2005, at her home. Born September 26, 1904, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Carrie Bringman Hardwidge. She was an area homemaker her entire life and member of St. John's United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Baku Grotto Auxiliary and Mansfield Liederkranz.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Sally Stutz of Upper Sandusky; stepson, Ernest Gwen Ferguson of Melbourne, Florida; ten grandchildren, Judy Gary Boyd, Linda Stutz, both of Mansfield, Pat Roger Gorrell of Fredericktown, Terry Jesse Au of Bothell, Wash., Kimberly Adelsperger, Joseph R. Stutz, both of Upper Sandusky, Don H. Marcia Stutz of Brunswick, Ga., Grant Vicky Ferguson, Judy Mike Griffith, and Holly Roger Cartier, all of Melbourne, Fla.; eighteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Stutz, second husband, Hugh Ferguson, two sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Agnes Stutz and Don Stutz, a granddaughter, Karen Ferguson, and two sisters, Mary Strickling and Dorothy Bridick.
Friends may call Monday, December 5, from 5-8 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. Lon McSherley. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, 68 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, Ohio 44903, or a charity of the donor's choice.
