She lived in Mansfield her whole life, graduated from Mansfield Senior High and married her neighbor and classmate Albert Meister on January 28, 1938. They raised two children, son David and daughter Kathy McNeal. They were married 75 years when he passed away in 2013.

She was an excellent seamstress making clothing for herself and children, and doll clothes for her grandchildren. She also made drapes and beautiful fitted slipcovers for furniture. Her pies were without question the best in the world. She was also good at knitting and crocheting and made hats for newborns at the hospital and afghans for the family. She also loved to read but gave that up the last few years and switched to doing jigsaw puzzles and following family happenings on Facebook on her Apple tablet.
Her spiritual needs were met attending the Apostolic Christian Church on Middle Bellville Road her entire adult life. She leaves behind her son, David and partner Stan Stombaugh and daughter, Kathy McNeal in Mansfield; grandchildren, Bryan (Wendy) Meister and their children, Kristen and Bryanna in Lilburn, GA; Laura (Scott) Lyon in Logan, OH; Scott (Jen) McNeal and son, Ian in Issaquah, WA; Dave (Connie) McNeal and their children and grandchildren in Delaware, OH; former daughter-in-law, Dixie Meister in Stone Mountain, GA; sisters-in-law, Barbara Scott and Lois Meister; brother-in-law, James Meister and special friend Teresa Lester in Applecreek, OH.
