
Henny graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in June of 1938. She attended God's Bible School in Cincinnati, taking a Christian Women's course and traveling with a group known as G.I.s (God's Issues) of the Cross for several months. Henny spent two years in evangelistic work, mostly teaching children the Gospel. She formerly attended Bethel Evangelical Congregational Church, serving as Sunday School teacher and Superintendent for 20 years. She also served as church organist and steward. Henny was a member of the Bethel Trio, a vocal and instrumental group, who performed in many different churches. She most recently was a member of Diamond Hills Baptist Church.
Henny shared her time volunteering as a Guide to both Pilgrim and Colonist groups of Pioneer Girls. She worked at Westinghouse Corp. and Mansfield Products for 37 ½ years.
She is survived by a few nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, along with a sister, Gertrude "Snookie" Burkholder.
Honoring Henny's wishes, there will be no services or visitation observed. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
