Helen Hager Ouellette

She graduated from Prestonsburg High School, Moorehead State University in Kentucky and Long Island State University in New York. She worked as a reading specialist for children with disabilites in the Long Island Public Schools for over 20 years. She then moved to the Mansfield area and taught at Madison School District for over 10 years as a reading specialist. She was a member of Lincoln Heights Baptist Church and enjoyed scrapbooking, singing and was passionate about dogs.

She is survived by three nieces, Dr. Sarah DeRossett, Betty Jo DeRossett and Margarette Descheneau and her faithful dog, Missy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leo J. Ouellette and three sisters, Emma Lou VonSee, Muriel Williams and Ruth DeRossett.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Levi and Miriam Yoder for their compassionate caring of Helen over the years.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Lincoln Heights Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Mike Wilson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lincoln Heights Baptist Church, 512 North Stewart Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44905.
