

Helen M. "Sue" Owens, 68, of Mansfield, OH died January 27, 2014 after an extended illness. Born March 12, 1945 in Olive Hill, KY she was the daughter of Lonnie and Rosa (Reynolds) Stamper. Helen was a very hard working, strong woman who was always a fighter. In her free time, she enjoyed working in her flower garden. Helen retired from Kroger in 2007.
She is survived by her daughters, Garnetta Owens and Patty (Jerry) Middleton, both of Mansfield; eight grandchildren, Felecia (Ryan) Rusiska, Ashley Burriss, Brandon (Stephanie Taylor) Middleton, Seth Burriss, Logan Middleton, and Sara, Alyssa, and Faith West; two great grandchildren, Bentley Edwards and Elyn Rusiska; three brothers, Quentis (Janet) Stamper of Lucas, Homer (Patricia) Stamper of Olive Hill, KY, and Larry (Carla) Stamper of Olive Hill, KY; a sister-in-law, Cleda Stamper; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Denvil Hedge.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmo Allen Owens; two brothers, Rev. Coy Allen Stamper and Earl Leo Stamper; a sister-in-law, Dixie Stamper; and a nephew, Joel Stamper.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Burial will be held at Fultz Cemetery in Olive Hill, KY.
