

Hilma Capra, 77, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 1, 2017. She was born in Kiel, Germany to Paula Behrendsen Kiffner on May 28, 1940, and was the step-daughter of Franz Kiffner. Hilma came to America in November of 1950 and was reunited with her mother, stepfather, and two sisters, Paula and Helga. Hilma lived in Mansfield from 1950 to 1963, then she moved to Chicago and met her husband, Thomas J. Capra. In 1980, they moved to Mansfield with their three sons. Hilma worked for American Knitting Company in Mansfield and Florsheim Shoe Company in Chicago.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas Capra, whom she married November 27, 1965; sons, Thomas (Terrie) Capra Jr., Rocco (Sandra) Capra, and Eric (Heather) Capra, all of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Tyler, Constance, Lauren, Aviano and Valentino; sister, Paula Kiffner of British Columbia, Canada; and cousins, Gerda (Achim) Wehr of East Berlin, Germany and Matilda Rodavic of California.
Hilma was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Paula and Franz Kiffner; and her sister, Helga Bechtler.
A memorial service for Hilma will be held at a later date. Wappner Funeral Directors in privileged to serve the family.
