Holly Burdine

Holly Jo Compton Burdine, 47, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born June 21, 1959 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Billy R. and Loretta Baker Compton. She retired from General Motors. Holly enjoyed spending time with her children and family, photography, and NASCAR. She graduated from Galion High School in 1977.

She is survived by two daughters, Destiny and Shannon Burdine, and their father, Gary Burdine; her parents, Billy R. and Loretta Compton of Mansfield; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lori and Brian McClintock, Lisa Murphy, and Kelly and Scott Purvis, all of Mansfield; nieces and nephews, Shaleigh McClintock, Katelyn Murphy, and Grayson Purvis; and foreign exchange student, Maddie Gomes. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lavern and Myrel Baker, and Della and Greever Compton.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2006 at the ONTARIO Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Earl Ash. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
