

Hope D. Smith Carmichael, 45, of Mansfield, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic. Born May 31, 1972 in Crestline, Ohio, she was the daughter of Kenny Caldwell and Shawnee (Smith) Grant.
She attended both Crestline High School and Mansfield Senior High and was a very outgoing and adventurous woman who was known to speak her mind. She was a #1 fan of 100.7 ~ Rovers Morning Glory with her own fan base on Twitter. Hope was a PeeWee football coach and had attended Mosaic Church in Mansfield. She enjoyed hiking, rock and roll music, tatoos, being outdoors, traveling and going to concerts. She loved her animals and especially loved being with her kids.
She is survived by a daughter, Haley Myers of Big Prairie, Ohio; four sons, Codey Schafer, Devon Carmichael, Kameron Carmichael and Trustan Carmichael all of Mansfield; a grandchild, Trinity Burgy and one on the way; the love of her life, Jeff Gordon of Northfield, Ohio; her mother, Shawnee Grant of Crestline; two brothers, Robert Grant of Galion, Ohio and Scott (Pamela) Grant of Leesville, Ohio; a sister, Barb Hunt of Galion; a host of nieces, nephews and good friends including her niece Dawn, whom she shared a special relationship; her former husband and best friend, Jason Carmichael of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gorden and Mabel Smith and her father, Kenny Caldwell.
There will be no calling hours or services at this time.
