Hugh Leroy “Bubba” Blair

Bubba was born March 24, 1950 in Columbus, Mississippi and moved to Mansfield in 1962, where he met the love of his life Cheryl Grier. They would go on to marry in 1969. Bubba will lovingly be remembered by his children, Kim (Ehram) Brooks, Lisa (Eddie) Lane and Leroy Blair. Grandchildren Ehram Brooks and fiancée Jamie King, Ehric Brooks and girlfriend Alexa Young-Hall, Kamron Brooks, Brittany Lane, Breanna Lane, Morgan Ciara Blair, Malik Blair, Lebron Blair and Leroy Blair Jr. Great grandchildren: Ty’Kia Moses, Nayshawn Byrd, Naleigha Brooks, Jaymirr Brooks, Jabaree Bluester and JaMarcus Bluester. His sisters and brothers Sarah Mabins of Columbus, OH, Helen Williams, Mary Williams, James (Vanessa) Williams, Eddie Williams and Jerry Williams of Mansfield. Special nieces: Sonya Williams, Cassandra Williams, Kamilah (Miguel) Powers, Melanie (Joseph) Dicks and Gabrielle Williams. Nephews Jamie Mitchell and Keenan Williams of Mansfield and Jared Mabins of Columbus. He will be dearly missed by numerous other family members and friends.

Bubba was preceded in death by his wife Cheryl Blair on November 4, 2021. His parents T.C. and Earline Williams. Father and mother-in-law Ridgeway and Loretta Fulghum.

Bubba was employed at Newman Technology for many years until his retirement in 2006.

At Bubba’s request there will be no services held.
