
Irene Boggs, 77, of Mansfield, died Thursday, October 19, 2006, at Kingston of Ashland. Born August 27, 1929, in Elliott County, Kentucky to Lige and Maude Seagraves Skaggs. She was formerly employed as a cook at Lucas schools. Irene was very involved in Lucas FFA Alumni Association and the Lucas Athletic Boosters.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Boggs; eight sons, Charlie Faye Boggs, Jack Peg Boggs, Ed Janet Boggs, Tim Joyce Boggs, Mark Boggs, Rusty Cheryl Boggs, Lûk Boggs, and Matt Laura Boggs; two daughters, Linda Jim Harris and Debbie Dave Pfleiderer; twenty-three grandchildren, David Tracy Boggs, Rob Stephanie Boggs, J. Daryl Jodi Boggs, Joe Boggs, John Eckels, Jeremy Eckels, Nikki Todd Bilancini, Christina Boggs, Mark Boggs, Tiffany Boggs, Amanda Boggs, Justine Boggs, Nicole Boggs, Nathan Boggs, Evan Boggs, Carla Boggs, Abby Pfleiderer, Tara Boggs, Tim Boggs, Thomas Boggs, Doug and Chahlie Bandy and Debbie Lyles; nine great-grandchildren, Marrissa, Lorna, and Aiden Boggs, Cody Payne, Kylie Bilancini, Ethan, Cara, Brayden, and Demi Eckels; and sister, Berbie Stone. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Vicky Pfleiderer, brother, Preston Skaggs, and sisters, Edna Holbrook and Pauline Boggs.
Friends may call Saturday, October 21 from 4-7 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. Ronald Daley officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
