
Irene Wisenbarger, 85, of Mansfield, died early Friday morning, October 2, 2009, at MedCentral Hospital. Born January 16, 1924, in Senecaville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Etta May Moorhead Harper. Irene was an active member of Ontario Free Methodist Church and had formerly worked as a cook for Head Start. She was a devoted homemaker, receiving much joy from caring for her family as wife, mother, and grandmother. Irene leaves an inspiring legacy of her strong Christian faith and her deep love of her Lord and Savior for her children and grandchildren to cherish throughout their lives.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Bruce Hupp of Mansfield; two sons, Dale Pam Wisenbarger and Ron Debbie Wisenbarger, all of Mansfield; grandchildren, Andrew Julie Hupp of Mansfield, Stephen Patti Hupp of Manchester, CT, Malia Dave Bishop of Roanoke, VA, Melanie Greg Faith of Mansfield, Lora Matthew Walter of St. Ignace, MI, Mallory Wisenbarger of Chesapeake, VA and Erica Wisenbarger of Mechanicsville, VA fiance, Edward Adams; great-grandchildren, Rebekah, Phoebe, and Caleb Hupp of Mansfield; Luke, Emma and Mary Hupp of Manchester, CT; Zeb, Gabriel, and Isabella Bishop of Roanoke, VA; Rob Faith of Mansfield; Eliana and Jacob Walter of St. Ignace, MI; two brothers, Ray Harper of Buffalo, OH and Eber Edith Harper of Pleasant City, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Walter Wisenbarger; parents; sisters, Catherine Tillet, Annabelle Smith and Wanda June Callahan; and brother, Donald Harper.
Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2009, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Mansfield. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, in the Ontario Free Methodist Church, 2200 Bedford Boulevard, with additional visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Windsor Park Cemetery. Pastor Jim Walker and grandson, Pastor Andy Hupp will conduct the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Pantry at Ontario Free Methodist Church.
