Iva Ann Carroll, a beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025. Born on April 6, 1948, in Odessa, Texas, she was the cherished daughter of the late John Wood and Mozell Bechter.
Iva lived a life marked by kindness, loyalty, and generosity. Always ready to lend a helping hand, she touched the lives of many through her warm heart and giving spirit. Known affectionately by her fellow residents as “the cupcake lady,” Iva found joy in baking and sharing her delicious creations — especially her signature pumpkin bread, zucchini bread, and her unforgettable mac and cheese.
In her earlier years, Iva enjoyed sewing and later found comfort in reading and tackling crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with friends and family playing Yahtzee, Skip-Bo, and dominoes, creating laughter-filled memories that will be treasured forever.
Iva is survived by her three children, Lynda Carroll, Lee Carroll (Jeanette), Bridget Lee (Cory) and Carl Carroll; ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Linda; brother, John; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and very good friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert D. Carroll; four brothers and a granddaughter, Jessica Bowmar.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield, 98 S. Diamond Street at 7:00pm with calling one hour-prior. Memorial contributions may be made in Iva’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
