Born December 27, 1924, in Sutersville, Pennsylvania, he was one of four children of the late Katherine (Liskey) and Harry King. Jacob began his working career at Mansfield Tire and Rubber working there for 28 years. After that, he worked for and retired from General Motors.
Jacob was a member of the Sons of Herman and Moose Lodge #341. He also was a member of First United Methodist Church. In his free time, Jacob enjoyed a round of golf, and, in his younger years, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed traveling and learning about new customs and cultures.
Jacob is survived by a son, Wayne (Debbie) King; two grandchildren, Harley (Tami) King and Jennifer Stober; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma King; second wife, Ruth E. (Schnittke) King; two sons, Bradley and Gary King; a stepdaughter, Joanne; a brother, Harry King; and two sisters, Anna May and Edna Pittman.
A private burial of the urn will occur at a future date.
