
Jacqueline A. Mason died at home in Mansfield, Ohio on December 3, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. Jacquie was born on July 29, 1961 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to John and Frances Golley. After graduating from Monticello High School in 1980, she enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from September 1980 to July 1991. In 1981 she met her husband, James Mason, Jr. and they celebrated their 27th anniversary on November 14, 2008. Jacquie relished spending time with her family. Her greatest joy over the past few years was raising her grandchildren, Evin and Kaitlyn.
In addition to her husband and grandchildren, she is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Rice and son, James Mason III, both of Mansfield; a sister and brother-in-law, Tanya and Dennis Kotz of Clear Lake, Iowa; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jon Jay and Becky Golley of Fort Morgan, Colorado, and Todd and Leanne Golley of Becker, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her mother in October 2007 and her father in May 2008.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. A memorial service will be officiated by Reverend Skip Snell at 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Final burial arrangements are pending at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
