James D. Hess, 54, of 1112 N. Trimble Road died Monday morning, November 5, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield after a brief illness. Mr. Hess was born May 14, 1947 in Swords Creek, Virginia living in the Mansfield area most of his life. He was an employee of Armco Steel. Mr. Hess enjoyed woodworking.
He was survived by his wife, Diana Conley Hess of Mansfield; a sister and brother-in-law, Freda & Charles Lambert of Mansfield; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond & Brenda Hess of Mansfield, Harold & Jeanette Hess of Swords Creek, Virginia, and Dave Hess of Delaware, Ohio; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Della Elkins of Ashley, Ohio and Ruby & Dallas Ray of Croton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey & Ellie Mays Hess.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. David Ferrell. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
