Born October 5, 1950 in Pike County, Kentucky, he was the son of Elias and Victoria (Compton) Hopkins. A painter, he was a “Pool Shark” and enjoyed playing in pool tournaments but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Victoria Hopkins; a sister, Barb Fairchild; nephews, Roger Fairchild and Matt Hopkins; a great nephew, Nathan Fairchild; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Elias Hopkins; and two brothers, Ronnie and Hib Hopkins.
Private family services will be observed with burial in Mansfield Memorial Park with a memorial service to be scheduled at a later date.
