James C. 'Jim' Lawson, 48, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born October 26, 1958 in Morristown, Tennessee, he was the son of Carl and Elinor Wade Lawson.
All whom knew Jim will fondly reflect upon this, the first part of his life in God. His family and friends will remember his easygoing nature and the way he brought calm and steadiness in the face of all life's challenges. They will recall his devotion to his wife, Debbie and their son, Cole, and think back upon how he so clearly understood that the best life a man could build would be one founded upon love, thoughtfulness, and time spent with his family. These qualities, among so many others, have left an inheritance of wonderful memories that will sustain his family through the rest of their lives.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Jennings Lawson of Mansfield; one son, Cole Lawson of Mansfield; one stepdaughter, Brianne Roman Kindinger of Mansfield; one granddaughter, Jordan Kindinger of Mansfield. He is also survived by his mother, Elinor Wade Lawson of Mansfield; five brothers, Michael, David, Richard, Keith, and Steve; three sisters, Elinor, Katherine and Amy; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and a host of dear family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Lawson and brother, Karl Lawson.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God conducted by Rev. Thomas Blair. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
