Jan's life passion was helping others with anything they needed. He traveled a number of times to Guatemala as part of a mission team to visit children he sponsored there. Jan enjoyed teasing family and friends, and his hobbies included, golfing, hunting, and camping as a kid. He received his bachelor's degree from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University.
Jan retired from General Motors after 30 years then began working for MAGNET at North Central State College where he was currently a MFG Growth Advisor, helping local small businesses grow. He was an active member of Crossroads Community Church.
Jan never slowed down; he worked hard, long days to provide for his family, and he would never miss an opportunity to coach and attend his sons sporting events. He could often be found spending time with his grandchildren, taking every chance he could to see them.
Jan is survived by three sons, Benjamin (Kristi Rose) Miller; Anthony (Kimberly) Miller, and Adam (Julie) Miller; four grandchildren, Jillian, Mia, and Grant Miller, and Adalie Miller; two step-grandchildren, Cody and Casey; his parents; three siblings, Julie (Doug) Hamm, Tony Miller, and Rosanne Garcia; friend, Sheila Hummel; and the mother of his children, Julie Miller.
Jan was preceded in death by his grandson, Brayden Zachary.
