
Janet Marguerite Mesenburg Swartz, 72, passed away early Thursday morning, July 14, 2011 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born November 2, 1938 in Castalia, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Mary Luebeke and John Henry Mesenburg. Janet was very understanding and a good listener and everyone who spoke with appreciated her wisdom. A happy-go-lucky woman, she was a wonderful mom who enjoyed dancing in her younger years. Janet enjoyed watching westerns and soap operas on television and looked great in her cowboy hat. She also enjoyed crocheting afghans and sharing her treasures with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Donald Swartz; two sons, Mark Swartz and Melvin Rhonda Swartz, of Mansfield; a daughter, Marcia John Travis of Mansfield; four grandchildren, William Debo III of CA, Travis, Mariah and Cody Swartz, all of Mansfield; a brother, Carl Mesenburg of Tacoma, WA; a half-sister, Marty Bridges of Springfield, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Mesenburg.
A funeral service conducted by Rev. Christopher R. Thomas will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
