

Jason was the life of every party, known for his contagious laugh, generous spirit, and heart of gold. As one of his closest friends put it, “His heart was made of gold, and he would give the shirt off his back.” His ability to bring joy to any room will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Braxton Hartsel of Ashland; his siblings, Betty (Chris) Bell and Autumn Sheldon of Florida; his forever momma, Cathy Hartsel of Ashland; and his grandfather, Dean Hartsel Sr. of Ashland. He also leaves behind his loving aunts, Marcy Fenn, Nancy Hartsel, and Heather Hartsel; uncle, Scott (Heather) Hartsel; nephews, Antonio Sheldon Ramiriz, Ayden Sheldon, Jermiey Ramirez Sheldon; niece, Addilyn Sheldon; and cousins, Paige Ogden, Alex (Miranda) Hartsel, Summer Kramer, and Brock Fenn.
Jason was preceded in death by his father, Dean Hartsel Jr.; his grandmother, Penny Hartsel; and his grandparents, John and Beulah Sheldon.
A celebration of Jason’s life will be held at a later date. The Hartsel family wishes to thank everyone for their condolences, support, and kindness during this difficult time.
