

Mr. Boraiah was the second oldest of 13 children and along with his siblings helped to build his family home in India. He attended Bangalore College, served one year in the Indian Army and then taught at Mandya P.E.S. College of Engineering.
He and his wife, Lalitha Jayaram, were married in July 1967. In Fall 1967, Mr. Boraiah came to the U.S. to attend the University of Cincinnati. He was joined by his wife and daughter in fall 1968, and Mr. Boraiah completed his education in 1969.
In 1969, he and his family moved to Mansfield, Ohio, becoming one of the first South Asian families to settle here. He worked for Richland Engineering and McCartney and Associates before he starting his own firm. Jaytel, Inc, in 1985. Jaytel, Inc. was a culmination of a long dream and a promise to his father to support the community. He took great pride in the building of roads and communication that helped support people in their day to day lives.
Mr. Boraiah is survived by his wife, Lalitha Jayaram; three daughters, Bharathi Jayaram, Chethana Jayaram and Arathi Jayaram; son-in-law, Rob Breymaier; and grandson, Vivek Breymaier. He was preceded in death by his son, Ramesh Jayaram.
He will be remembered for his smile, his laughter and his generosity. He was dearly loved and will be missed.
A public celebration of his life will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Ontario Road. A private service will be held for the family. The family requests that any donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
