
Jeanne Marie Hunt, 69, of Lexington, died Friday, December 18, 2009, at MedCentral Mansfield. Born January 20, 1940, in Pontiac, Michigan, she was the daughter of James and Eva Malone Hunt. She taught for 31 years in the Montebello Unified School District Special Education Department in California and was a wonderful role model and an excellent teacher. She was a shrewd card player but not a good bluffer, an organ donor and had rescued many dogs in California. Her family referred to her as 'Grammie Two'. She moved to the Lexington area in 2007 and attended the Church of the Cross.
Surviving are two daughters, Angela Ade and Teresa Lumbard both of California; five grandchildren, Steven Brissette, Adam Ramirez, Amber Garner, Joshua and Kylie Ade; two honorary grandchildren, Maggie and Amy Cox; two sisters, Fran Hunt and Bobbie Cox both of Lexington; nephews and nieces, Jim Cox, John Cox, Elizabeth Hunt and Doug Hunt; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Hunt. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jim Hunt.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at the Church of the Cross in Lexington conducted by Pastor Denise Marikis. Friends may call one hour prior to the services, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery at a later date.
