Jeffrey Kinney

Jeffrey L. Kinney, 64, of Mansfield, died Sunday, December 6, 2009, at Oak Grove Manor. Born January 28, 1945, in Mansfield, he was the son of Clarence and Jessie Carpenter Kinney. He was a 1958 graduate of Mansfield Senior High. A hard worker, Jeffrey had worked for various factories in the area. He enjoyed yard work, housework, casinos and cookouts and was involved in his grandchildren's lives especially their baseball games. His greatest joy was dancing with Maxine, who he affectionately called "Pumpkin".

Surviving are his soul mate of 12 years, Maxine Sipe; two daughters, Robin Larry Stewart and Tracy Kevin Risner both of Greenwich; two sons, Randy Tanya Kinney of Greenwich and John Stacey Kinney of Norwalk; his step-children, Karene Jesse Carsey of Mansfield, Linda Merle of Shelby, Nancy Gary Zeigler of Mansfield and Roy Onda Sipe of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, David, Melissa and Katie Stewart, Brittany and Jordan Risner, Shelby, Dakota, Logan and Carson Kinney all of Greenwich and Ryan and Jaden Kinney of Norwalk; his step- grandchildren, Richard Crystall Pittenger of Galion, Suzanne David Ruggles of Greenwich, Machelle Billy Bradley of Greenwich and Bonnie Jo David Duncan of Shelby; his step-great grandchildren, Tyler and Benjamin Ruggles, Chelsey and Casey Bishop of Greenwich, Taylor Duncan of Shelby, Allison and Seth Pittenger of Galion and Joshua Sipe of Elyria; a brother, Junior Kinney of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Garry and Darrell Kinney; the mother of his children, Phyllis Kinney; and a step-son, Randy Sipe.

Friends may call from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. There will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
