

Jerry M. Burchett, 53, of Mansfield, died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Hospice of North Central Ohio. Born January 9, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Eugene and Jewell (Lykins) Burchett. Jerry was a 1977 graduate of Clearfork High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a truck driver for several companies including Con-Way, FedEx, and Grammer Industries. He was very devoted to his grandson, Trey as well as his daughter Crystal and her husband, Wes. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed riding his Harley, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. He had just recently moved back to Mansfield after living in Florida for the past 4 ½ years.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Beverly “Jody” Burchett of Mansfield; daughter Crystal (Wes) Buckner of Galion; grandson, Trey Coffey; brother, Jimmy (Debbie) Burchett of Johnsville; sisters, Patty (Terry) Strohminger and Merry Burchett, both of Mansfield; Debbie (Glenn) Guill of Bellville, and Sandy Wall of Waverly; numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Linda Reeder of Mansfield; brothers-in-law, Tony Reeder of London, OH and Steve (Nina) Reeder of Mansfield; and sister-in-law, Deb Kelly of Columbus. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tom and Bill Burchett; sister, Brenda Kirkwood; grandparents, Everett and Lona Burchett; father-in-law, James Reeder; and good friend, Scott Lewis.
Friends may call Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Jerry Copley and Rev. Herman Copley. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
