Jerry Carroll

Jerry F. Carroll, 72, of Mansfield died at home Friday, May 3, 2002 after an extended illness. Mr. Carroll was born October 25, 1929 in Olive Hill, Kentucky to Jeremiah & Nannie Bowling Carroll living in the Mansfield area most of his life. He retired from Westinghouse Corporation after 36 years.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret B. Friend Carroll; five daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy & Larry Berry of Ironton, Ohio, and Wanda & Dennis Boyce, Wanita Balg and her fiancé, Ron Lambert, Sandra & James Bell and Sherry & Lee Meadows, all of Mansfield; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Nellie Trebacz of Mansfield, Ruth & George Butterbaugh, Phillis & Buck McCall and Travis & James Goodnight, all of Florida, and Frances & Ralph Roman of Indiana; and three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Johnny & Shirley Friend and Gene & Cora Shoemaker, all of Mansfield, and Barbara & Grayson Wood of Ironton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Crystal Dawn Wade; a brother, Henry Carroll; and two sisters, Esther Shoemaker and Joann Mays.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to graveside services to be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Mansfield Memorial Park conducted by Pastor Jim Streib. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
