

Jerry Lee Strine, 93, of North Ft. Myers, Florida, loving husband, brother, father, grandfather,and great grandfather passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Bayfront Hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida after a prolonged illness. Born on February 20, 1925, he was the son of the late Marion A. and Elma Ryland Strine. Before moving to Florida in 1970, Jerry and his family resided in Mansfield, Ohio for most of their lives.
Jerry is survived by three sons, Tom (Bonnie) of Middlefield, Ohio, Ron (Karen) of North Fort Myers, Florida, and Gary (Jayne) of Mansfield Ohio; six grandchildren, Tammy Meadows of Newton Falls, Ohio, Hally Kearney of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Jeremy (Brandie) of Lucas, Ohio, Philip (Cathryn), of Vermilion, Ohio, Gabriel of Tampa, Florida, and Jonathan (Mariah) of North Fort Myers, Florida; and one brother, Rex (Carol) of Dayton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma (Au) Strine and brother, Phil.
Working 6 days per week up to his 93rd birthday, Jerry loved being an entrepreneur and was a successful RV dealer in Mansfield and Ft. Myers. He enjoyed spending summers at his cottage in Canada with his family. Jerry was loved by his family, friends, and peers, and known for and remembered for his work ethic, energy and upbeat personality. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. George Reece officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Mansfield Cemetery.
