Joel Henry

Joel S. Henry, 43, of Mansfield, died Tuesday evening, October 24, 2006, at his home after a brief illness. Born February 25, 1963, in Mansfield, he was the son of Robert L. and Patricia H. Oberlander Henry. Joel was a 1981 graduate of Malabar High School and worked as a carpenter with Quest Interior Construction Co. He enjoyed solving puzzles, playing pool and computer games. Joel had a passion and enthusiasm for music, not only listening to music but playing, writing, and collecting music memorabilia.

He is survived by his sister, Cynthia L. John E. Bunting of Mansfield; two brothers, Robert M. Nancy Henry of Tampa, FL and Scott Donita Henry of Mansfield; three nephews, Jason B. Bunting of Marion, Justin L. Henry of Mansfield and Sean P. Henry of Tampa; four nieces, Ashley L. Henry of Athens, Katlyn E. Henry and Rachel M. Henry, both of Mansfield, and Dannielle Fife of Willard; and three beloved cats.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 27, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors with Rev. Dave Davenport of Faith Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kids with Cancer, 8215-112 St., Suite 307, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, T6G 2C8. Following the service, family and friends may gather at 69 Reba Avenue, Mansfield.
