John L. Cantrell, Jr., age 47, of 141 Ohio Street, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening May 10, 2000 at home. Mr. Cantrell was born November 12, 1952 in Mansfield, Ohio living here all of his life. He was a guard at Mansfield Correctional Institute.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Perry of Mansfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle & Denny Miller, Nikki & Heath Stephens all of Mansfield; five grandchildren, John E. Cantrell, Denny Miller JR., Amanda Miller, Tyler Stephens and Cheyenne Stephens; his mother, Tealie Cantrell of Mansfield, Ohio and a half-sister, Margie Salyers of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father, John L. Cantrell Sr. and two half-brothers.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday from 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. Rick Wiseman. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
