
John C. Peppler, 81, of Mansfield, died at home November 9, 2003 following an extended illness. Mr. Peppler was born November 17, 1921 in Reed City, Michigan, residing in California for the past 30 years before moving to Mansfield one year ago. He attended The Southwood Hills Assembly of God Church. Mr. Peppler graduated from Mt. Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan in 1943 and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Baltic from 1943 to 1946. He retired after 40 years of service as Senior Vice President of Lear-Siegler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray A. and Elsie Corsaut Peppler.
Surviving are his wife, Priscilla 'Pat' Peppler of Mansfield; one daughter, Pamela Phillips of Mansfield; three grandchildren and their spouses, Debbi and Raymond Westfield of Lexington; Patricia Phillips and her fiancé, Andre Williams of Mansfield; and Rodney and Opal Phillip of Mansfield; six great grandchildren, Dustin Reed; Daniel Westfield; Devyn Westfield; Antheny Williams; Kaitlin Phillips and Brandyn Phillips; and numerous good friends.
There will be no calling hour or funeral services. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice 335 Glessner Ave. or The Southwood Hills Assembly of God Church 1887 W. Cook Rd..
