John Paul 'J.P.' Wright, 59, of Shelby, died Saturday, March 17, 2007, at Louis Stokes Veteran's Hospital in Cleveland after a brief illness. Born September 11, 1947, in Huron County, he was a resident of Winchester, Mansfield and Greenwich areas most of his life. He graduated from Winchester High School in 1965. He spent four years with the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise serving as an Electronics Technician, E-5. He was employed with Conrail Railway, B & O Railroad, Motorola, a telephone company and also at a radio station.
He will be sadly missed by his brother, David Betty Wright of Butler, nephews, Aaron Wright of Michigan and Garry Wright of Butler; and numerous aunts and uncles in Greenwich. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emogene Jones Wright, brother, Mark Wright and two uncles, Donald and Emmett Jones.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Ashridge Cemetery, Ashridge, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 23 W. Main St., Shelby, Ohio 44875.
