Jon 'Mick' Gottfried, 53, of Mansfield, died Thursday morning, February 16, 2006 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a sudden illness. Born June 30, 1952 in Mansfield, he was the son of John and Gladys Cripe Gottfried. He graduated from Ontario High School and attended Taylor University. Mr. Gottfried was a project manager at Harmon Construction, Inc. and had been a tax practitioner. He enjoyed collecting lighthouses.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Derek and Carla Gottfried of Ashland, and their daughters, Dacota and Brooklyn Gottfried, Troy Gottfried and Kate VanDerzee of Columbus, and Drew Gottfried of Madison, and his daughters, Maci and Destini Gottfried; one sister, Cheryl Gottfried of Mansfield; and his parents, John and Gladys Gottfried of Mansfield.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Friends may also call one hour prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
