
Joseph R. Hale, 75, of Mansfield died Friday July 26, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Hale was born September 24, 1926 in Mansfield residing in the area most of his life. He graduated from Mansfield Senior High School and Ohio University. He retired from White Westinghouse and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans Employee Association. Joseph's life long love was gardening.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Joseph J. and Dayna Hale of Columbus, Alec and Carol Hale of Orlando, Florida, and Daniel Hale of Grafton, Ohio; one daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Dan Focarino of North Carolina; six grandchildren, Jared, Courtney, Daniel, Shelby, Camryn, and Emily; and one sister, Marge Harmony of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Myriam Hale.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street home of Wappner Funeral Directors Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Faith Proietti. Burial will be held in Windsor Cemetery.
