

Josephine Cooper Breeze, 97, of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at her home. She was born on June 9, 1921 in Portsmouth, Ohio. Josephine was the daughter of Leslie and Maggie (Odel) Sowards.
A woman of strong faith, Josephine attended the Hillside First Church of God. She is a devoted mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Family was very important to her and they were her number one priority. She enjoyed gardening, canning, doing crossword puzzles, sewing, and of course spending time with family and friends.
Josephine leaves behind her children, Augusta (Richard) Burdine, Nellie (Robert) Adams, Estill (Rebecca) Breeze Jr., and Gwen (Albert) Mullins; fifteen grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Georgia Cooper; former daughter-in-law and good friend, Betty Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Winn Estill Breeze in 1986; daughter, Isabelle Cooper; sons, Fred and Jack Cooper; their father, Jack Cooper; brothers, Harm, Homer, Omer, Theodore and Eli; sisters, Velma, Laurie, Minnie, Louise, and Nellie; several dear sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Family will welcome guests from 2:00-4:00 pm, on Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. Funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Glenn Phillips on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Josephine will be laid to rest at Windsor Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillside First Church of God.
