Joyce Ann Lambert Williams passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. She was born November 1, 1942, in Fairmont, WV to Ray and Gladys Lambert. Joyce moved to Mansfield, OH in 1949. She graduated from Madison High School in 1960 and Mansfield Beauty School in 1962. Joyce and Harvey P. Williams were married on May 21, 1966.
Joyce worked at various beauty shops and bridal shops in Mansfield. She also worked at Rotary Adult Daycare for many years. Joyce was a member of the Main Global Methodist Church on Main Street, Mansfield, for many years. She loved to sew and make quilts with her mother and sister. Joyce enjoyed watching hummingbirds, listening to Elvis, and collecting angels. She loved to travel and has been to Oregon three times. Joyce saw all the parks and sights in the Southwest, Northwest, and Southeast United States. She traveled to Hawaii, Australia, and the Canadian Rockies. She traveled to Columbia by rail, took the Canada Amtrack from Nova Scotia to Vancouver, WA, and took a cruise to the Panama Canal and Alaska.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Harvey P. Williams, daughters, Cynthia A. (Paul) Lumadue of Lexington and Deborah K. Frieze of Mansfield; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Ron (Wanita) Lambert of Mansfield; sister-in-law, Peggy Williams of Johnsville; brother-in-law, Frank Williams of Florence, OR; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Gladys Lambert; sister-in-law, Florence Williams; sister, Wilma Jean Myers; and brothers-in-law, David Williams and Robert Eugene Myers.
Family and friends will gather for visitation Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 30, 2024, at the same location at 1:00 PM with an hour viewing prior to the service. Joyce will be laid to rest at Mansfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lexington Senior Center in Lexington, OH or Main Global Methodist Church in Mansfield, OH.
