

Judie L. Lewis, 66, of Ontario, died September 17, 2015. Born January 27, 1949, she was a lifelong resident of Mansfield. Judie graduated from Malabar High School in 1967. She worked at Lumberman's Mutual Insurance Company until 1972 when she began her career with the Mansfield Police Department, serving several years with MPD auxiliary. During that time, she received several awards and letters of commendation. Judie retired in 1998 as a shift supervisor in the 911 call center. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion. In her free time, Judie enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, reading, attending sporting events, and traveling.
Surviving are her husband and the love of her life, Barry M. Lewis of Ontario; daughter, Elizabeth "Libby" (Brennan) Robinson of Ontario; grandsons, Ernie R. (Lizzie) Clifton and Carter Robinson, both of Mansfield; sister, Pamela (John) Roesch of Sandusky; step-sons, Scott (Amanda) Lewis of Mansfield and Michael (Michelle) Lewis of Findlay; step-grandsons, Dylan, Aaron, and Jarett; step-brother, Arty (Sharyn) Hoffman of Mansfield; brother-in-law, Michael (Jan) O'Neil of Worthington; several nieces and nephews, including Dr. Tiffany Chapman and Brian Rodgers; and special aunt, Dovie Monak.
Judie was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa A. Clifton; mother, Betty J. Hoffman; step-father, Arthur Hoffman; very special "dad", Edward Osgar; father-in-law, Cleveland Lewis; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Albert O'Neil; and sister-in-law, Barbara (Larry) Zarth.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 21, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road, Ontario. Family and friends are invited to visit for one hour prior to the service, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
