Judith Ann “WinAnn” Leavitt Patterson, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Ohio on March 10, 2026. Born on February 13, 1942, in Southern California, the only child of the late John and Elaine Leavitt. Being born on Friday the 13th, she was always considered a sign of good luck in the family, and her father even named their horse ranch “Lucky 13” in honor of her.
WinAnn devoted her life to her family. As an Air Force wife, mother, and grandmother, she supported her family with dedication and love. She was actively involved in her children’s school lives and never missed one of their sporting events, always cheering them on from the sidelines. She had a special love for the holidays and took great joy in decorating her home, especially with candles that created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Crocheting was her favorite hobby, and she lovingly created many handmade items for family and friends. WinAnn was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived her life guided by her faith and commitment to family. Her family meant everything to her, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She will be remembered for her warmth, devotion, and the love she shared with those around her.
She is survived by her husband, James Patterson; five children, James, Ann, Robert, Wendy and John; twenty-seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
