

Karolyn worked at Westinghouse for over 25 years. She attended Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in her youth and later attended Maddox Memorial Church of God in Christ. Karolyn was a humble and dedicated mother who dearly loved her family. She was very crafty and enjoyed making jewelry, painting, scrap booking and simply being creative. She could take something plain and make it beautiful. She was a woman of wisdom and you could go to her for advice. She treated her friends and neighbors with fairness and respect, and was especially close to her sister, Lillian Scott as well as friends, Cheryl Dustin and Ann Lindsay. Karolyn loved her late husband, Jimmie L. Coffee. They were together for over three decades.
Karolyn is survived by her children, Billy (Dianne) Boyd, Jimette Coffee, and LaShan (Crystal) Coffee; her brother, Jim Earl; sister, Mary Elizabeth Clark; grandchildren, Tiara Wright, Tyshia Boyd, Deunte Boyd, Andra Boyd, Marquis Boyd, Tnisha Coffee, Jakora Coffee, Taj Coffee, Namira Coffee, Navarr Coffee, Nia Carter, and Nyja Barnes; great-grandchildren, Akavious Coffee and Jaylyn Coffee; and a host of other great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many cherished family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Coffee; parents, Thomas and Roberta James; son, Galvin Boyd; and sisters, Lillian Scott and Shirley Andrews.
Friends and family may gather Friday, November 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Maddox Memorial Temple, 1148 Walker Lake Rd, Mansfield. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 PM with Elder Aaron Williams presiding. Advantage Funeral Services by Wappner is honored to serve the Coffee family.
