Katelynn Myers

"When I close my eyes, I see you. When I open my eyes, I miss you". Katelynn D. Myers, 25, of Greenwich, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 in Richland County. She was born August 17, 1989, at Fort Ord in Monterey Bay, California, to Eric John and JoAnna Elaine (Hout) Myers.

She was a 2007 graduate of Crestview High School and received her Associate Degree from The Ohio State University. Katelynn had an outstanding sense of humor and loved to joke around with others, even if the joke was on her. She had the sweetest personality and loved her family and friends deeply. Katelynn was someone you could depend on and was always there when needed by anyone.

She loved all animals, especially her cats, Zuko, Snip and Ichi. She was a member of 4H and FFA when she was younger. She enjoyed shooting guns, and her favorite vehicle was her burgundy Pontiac Trans Am. Katelynn spent her free time with her friends, playing video games, and listening to music. She was also a member of a local bowling league. She was currently employed at Tremco in Ashland.

Katelynn leaves behind her parents, Eric and JoAnna Myers; brother, Michael Myers (Iva Ivanova); maternal grandfather, Walter Hout; paternal grandmother, Maria Myers; two aunts, Chantal (Adam) Sellers and Beth (Jason) Hill; an uncle, Raymond (Pam) Hout; great-grandmother, Pauline Netotea; five cousins; and numerous other extended family members. Katelynn's feline companions, Zuko, Snip and Ichi, also survive her. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Patricia Hout; great-grandfather, Elmer Fife; and great-grandparents, Walter and Maurine Hout.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015, in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral ceremony will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Lintern officiating. Burial will follow in Windsor Cemetery. Contributions honoring Katelynn's love for animals may be made to the animal rescue organization of your choice.
