Katherine Bowman

Katherine K. Bowman, 69, of Mansfield, died Monday, January 3, 2011, at MedCentral Mansfield. Born May 17, 1941, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Robert and Margaretha Schuff Wade. A homemaker, she enjoyed doing puzzle books, watching the Price is Right, bowling and listening to Elvis Presley music. She had worked at the Best Western Motel many years ago and was a loving, caring and generous mother and grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Ivan Meade and Tina Goldsmith both of Mansfield; a son, Carl Karrie Bowman of Mansfield; grandchildren, Krystal John Boyle, Michael Meade, Mark Megan Bowman, Rebecca Bowman and her fiancé Steve, Regina Davis, Gary Davis, Ben Goldsmith, Holly Goldsmith and Andy Goldsmith; great grandchildren, J.J. Boyle, Trinity Boyle, Justin Boyle, Gage Bowman, Kaiden Bowman, Adrian Bowman, and several other great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaretha Frank Robinette of Crestline and Theresa Donald Owens of Mansfield; her caretaker, Paula Bertram; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Carl Eugene Bowman.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Memorial funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Craft officiating.
