Katherine Roberts

Katherine F. Roberts, 71, of Mansfield died Monday evening, December 30, 2002 at Mifflin Care Center after an extended illness. Katherine was born December 11, 1931 in Alabama and was a Mansfield area resident most of her life. She retired from MedCentral Mansfield Hospital where she worked as a housekeeper. Prior to that, she worked for many years at Mansfield Tire and Rubber Company. She enjoyed shopping.

She is survived by a brother, Wayne Roberts of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Dorothy Wilson of Ashland, Ohio; three nephews, Robin Roberts of Tucson, Arizona, Danny Roberts of Phoenix, Arizona, and Tim Wilson of Bradenton, Florida; four nieces, Beth Bishop of Wooster, Ohio, Jamie Chekelski of Jeromesville, Ohio, Vicki Cowell of Columbus, Ohio, and Debbi Pacelli of Mansfield; a special great-niece, Mindi Brinegar, who served as her caretaker for many years; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ashford and Louise Simmons Roberts and a sister, Verna Cowell.

There will be no calling hours or services. Burial will occur at a later date in Vermillion Cemetery. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
