Kathryn Beer

Kathryn Mae Beer, 98, of Ontario, died Tuesday, November 09, 2010, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Rittman. Born May 15, 1912, in Ankneytown, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ober J. and Elizabeth Yarger Leedy. A homemaker, she was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church on Illinois Avenue and loved gardening.

Surviving are three sons, Rex Marilyn Beer, Alvin Janet Beer all of Ontario and Dennis Sandra Beer of Columbus; a daughter, Kathy Stacy of Overland Park, KS; 11 grandchildren, Ron Donna Beer of Fairborn, OH, Randy Sherry Beer of Bloomington, IN, Dianne Winnarka of Eagle Lake, MN, Marvin Robin Beer of Mansfield, Karla Stricker of Ontario, Scott Lori Gabor of Shelby, Jim Karin Beer of Hendricks, MN, Lynette Mark Rau, Laura Roy Campo both of Ontario, Kimberly Jeff Arnold of Pataskala and Kristi Shaun Odegaard of Lake Preston, SD; 22 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; two brothers, Harley D. Leedy of Mt. Vernon and Edwin Leedy of Fredericktown; a son-in-law, Dale Gabor of Ontario; and two daughters-in-law, Pat Beer of Ontario and Janet Beer of Lake Preston, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert E. Beer in 1991; two sons, Delbert and Kenneth Beer; a daughter, Donna Gabor; brothers, Kenneth Leedy and Frederick "Bud" Leedy; and sisters, Lula Schultz and Mable Tharp.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2010, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2010, at the Apostolic Christian Church, 84 N. Illinois Avenue, Mansfield. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
