Kathryn Hughes

Kathryn E. Hughes, 94, of Mansfield died Tuesday evening, October 1, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Hughes was born February 22, 1908 in Glendive, Montana and was an area resident most of her life. She was a homemaker, and was a very active member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Kathryn was past Senior Regent and a 50-year member of the Mansfield Moose Lodge.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Julia Hughes of Ellijay, Georgia; a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn Hughes and Donald Baumberger of Mansfield; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Peter Stolle of Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd R. Hughes and her parents, John and Margaret Goschna Stolle.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Friday, October 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Saturday at 1:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. David A. Gilbert and Rev. Robert Stanforth. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street United Methodist Church.
