
Kelly J. Koedel, 31, died Thursday, July 24, 2008, in Butler County from results of an auto accident. Born July 10, 1977, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Rick and Linda Baker Boggs. She was employed with Bohlke Venear in Hamilton, Ohio. She graduated in 1995 from Mansfield Senior High School and had furthered her education through Ohio State University and Miami University. Along with The Ohio State Buckeyes, she was also an avid Cleveland Browns fan. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, listening to music, going to garage sales, and playing bingo. Kelly was a member of the Community Baptist Bible Church where she had been active in the Youth and Bus Ministries. Kelly was a very independent, strong-willed person, who loved her children, or "miracle babies" as she liked to call them.
Along with her parents, she is survived by special friend and father of her children, Jami Lunsford of Hamilton; daughter, Beckah Lunsford of Hamilton; grandmothers, Marlene Baker and Aline Mamie Boggs, both of Mansfield; great-grandmother, Dorothy Gaubatz of Mansfield; sister, Jenny Bill Nickell of Mansfield; nephews, Jonathan Scheurer of Mansfield, and Kole Nickell of Galion; niece, Kimmy Scheurer of Mansfield; and numerous aunts, uncles, and other relatives and good friends. Her son, Zachariah Lunsford died as a result of the same auto accident. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, James Baker and Alvin Boggs, and great-grandfather, Michael Gaubatz.
Friends may call from 5-8 pm Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Joe Esarey. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a college trust fund created for her daughter, Beckah.
