

Born January 23, 1930 in Mansfield, he was the son of Kenneth L Bell, Sr. and Hazel (Stull) Bell. A 1949 graduate of Mansfield Senior High, he retired from the Air National Guard in 1985 after 36 years of service to his country and was a member of the Shadow Flight at the Air National Guard in Mansfield. He was also a member of AARP and Main Street United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Men’s Bible Study, the Plus Ultra Class and helped with the meals for the needy. A very humble man, he enjoyed reading, especially history, sitting on his patio watching the birds, going to Lake Erie and Amish Country and woodworking, which he gave as gifts to his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife, Eva (Wharton) Bell whom he married July 25, 1954 in Mansfield; a daughter, Carla (Thomas) Uhde; a son, Jeffrey (Neice) Bell; grandchildren, Justin Henry, Ashley Henry, Bradley Bell, Lyndsay Bell and Coby Bell; four step grandchildren; one step great granddaughter; a sister, Joyce Bell; two brothers, Robert (Karon) Bell and Richard (Barb) Bell; five nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Ink. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Main Street United Methodist Church conducted by Pastor Gary Miller and Rev. Allen E. Rose. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
